About The Woman with the Blue Star

In 1942 Kraków, eighteen-year-old Sadie Gault escapes the liquidation of the ghetto by hiding with her mother in the tunnels beneath the city. Above ground, Ella Stepanek is a privileged Polish girl whose family is dangerously close to the occupying Germans. When Ella discovers Sadie below the street, the two young women form a bond that tests their courage as the war closes in.
